The Gait Cycle

Description

The gait cycle, and how to walk most organically. Study the correct movement chain, how to roll through your foot and load it in a balanced way. Honouring the coordination and cyclical nature of placing one foot in front of the other, literally and metaphorically. Apply this principle in all stepping-transition from one move to the next. But also incorporate it in what’s sometimes perceived as “non-foot-sports” such as cycling or swimming. As well as in so-called “still” positions. As you will always be micro-moving your feet no matter what it looks like from the outside. Even if in shoes or when so-called standing still there is always movement and proprioceptive information fed directly to the brain through the respective foot position and how you are loading and moving with and through your feet.
