Down Dog
Description
Down dog. And how this seemingly simple and very common exercise is one of the very moments for us to practise initiating and moving from the pelvis rather than from the upper body. Down dog is not an arm-loading exercise, but it is a core strengthener as well as a shoulder opener and an arm and shoulder mobiliser. Remember to keep your elbows and your knees ever so slightly bent. As well as to be guided by your tailbone lift and let the rest of your body follow.
