Bodylistics® is the wholesome nurturing of the body's yearning for moving and being moved.
The Bodylistics® Story
Using a unique combination of neurolinguistic imagery and somatic guidance (versus generic gym-exercising), Bodylistics® is a sensory experience which moves you away from an abstract or intellectual imposing of instructions and instead reconnects you with the feeling and the quality of the movement – which reinstates optimal functionality and bespoke kinaesthetic understanding which is as unique to you as your fingerprint. Bodylistics® helps you find out, through practical experiencing and in-touch guidance, what it means to move again: pain-free and with joy – and with mindful bodyfulness.
What makes us different from your ordinary exercise regime is that we don’t use a general one-for-all model. Therefore, we have developed a unique approach for you to experience a programme bespoke to YOU and help you find the key to YOUR optimal way of moving, where you are feeling AT HOME in and with your body again. We want exercising no longer to be a chore or something that you “have to make yourself do” because “you’ve been told it’s good for you”. We wish to help you onto the journey of loving your physical movement from every cell of your being again – so that you, like us, yearn to move and that every day you look forward to being with and in your beautiful body.
The crux is not to have to fix, but how to MAINTAIN optimal movement health in everything you do! Linking correct exercising with daily life activities, and making them one and the same again, is at the base to all of this. When guided movement becomes second nature it becomes the perfect injury prevention, performed and strengthened through our daily life activities. No more pain when lifting a suitcase or a heavy shopping bag, no more twinges when getting off that sofa, no more neck and shoulder agony at the end of a long day, and no more fighting with your pillow positions at night and having to get rid of that painful arm-tingling the next day… AND moreover, getting access to guided and instructional HOME-movement-routines, be it whilst still lying in bed, or cooking in the kitchen, or even sitting on the toilet… Sounds good? Well, you’re in the right place with us here at Bodylistics®, where you’ll be re-learning and re-loving all that is your healthy moving you!!
Ultimately our Body-Buddy is born a wonder of nature’s perfection, and someone who WANTS to be healthy. And when the signal alarms with pain, it is up to us to hear our bodies and support inquisitively with an open ear and mind. Often it’s just the bodies’ scream for help to say: please listen to me and change the way you move – for right now you’re hurting me! Please let us find out how to heal and fix this issue together. And so the partnership of mind and body can grow hand in hand.
Tracking and understanding your movement pattern and finding out where in the movement chain you go wrong, is the first step to being able to detect the cause of your pain symptoms, and with it you will find that the key to change is within. All it needs from here is to re-train for a correct and coordinated movement pattern, allowing optimal alignment and neuropathways to re-communicate, which will then naturally bring every link back into its place and provide for what we all wish for: long-lasting health and well-being.
May Bodylistics® help you find those tools and techniques that are right for you right now and wherever you are.

Founder of Bodylistics
Frances Collier
Frances Collier
Movement and exercise have always been Frances’s life. Drawing from the wealth of a twenty-six-year career in movement and dance combined with hands-on therapy and NLP practices, her passion is working with the human body.
Frances specialises in providing injury management and prevention, movement coaching, training & physical consultancy for films and West End theatre productions, but thrives on working with active people from all walks of life.
Having graduated as a professional dancer at Rambert School in London in 1994, Frances spent two decades dancing with full time companies in Europe and as a freelance artist in London. Her professional experience covers performing a wide range of ballet, contemporary and musical repertory, and rehearsal director and choreographer on various projects whilst building a thorough on-and-off-stage-understanding when it comes to injury management and prevention.
Over the years, her focal point has been on establishing the most efficient ways of using functional movement to meet the daily demands a high-intensity job involves. As a result, she has naturally progressed into looking after performers’ injuries through movement and mind coaching and physical consultancy, which have now become her main focus.
Her thorough experience with bodywork in general, based on respected studies in various styles of sports and fascia therapy, NLP, anatomy and yoga, have complemented her knowledge as a hands-on physical expert, mover and performer. Skilled at applying complex concepts through straightforward yet profoundly effective techniques, Frances not only helps her clients through times of injury, but also assists with making them look and feel safe and more at ease with their moves, activities and professional demands, both in daily life and on stage or on screen.
With the creation of Bodylistics, she is overjoyed to now being able to bring her methodology and movement concepts online, and with it open the door to making her approach accessible to a wider audience.

As an actor, I saw Frances for rehabilitation after two injuries on stage. She offered an entirely new approach to recovery and for that I was truly thankful. As a film-maker/editor/cameraman I enjoyed cutting and polishing over 1000 previously filmed clips with my quartermaster, Tom Child, under my production company Timebomb Pictures. I'm intending to shoot future elements for Bodylistics. Bodylistics will challenge you to understand your physical being, in a way that can be missed or forgotten all too often, in a rapidly moving world.

I am an interdisciplinary designer, researcher and facilitator, who is passionate about working co-creatively with individuals and groups. I am currently based at the Royal College of Art, London, working as an Innovation Fellow to bring people-centred design to business and innovation. A dancer and cat lover are my alter egos.
I have known Frances for the last 7 years, and during this time I have benefitted from her yoga teaching, injury prevention and manual therapy sessions, which helped me re-develop an appreciation for my own body in relation to movement, health and overall wellbeing. What I value most about our sessions is the freedom of expression, openness, fun and integrity of Frances' approach.
I was incredibly humbled to design the logos for Bodylistics, which was no little task - to listen for who Frances is and convey the energy, joy and love of her work in the designs. And we had loads of fun doing that! I hope this comes through, so that each Bodylistiquer may find those qualities in their movement practice!
Model and Best Buddy
Amy Drew
Amy Drew
Amy grew up in Perth, Western Australia, where she trained in ballet, contemporary dance and aerial circus. After dancing with the Tasmanian Classical Ballet and the Odyssey Dance Theatre in Singapore, she moved to Dublin and performed as principal dancer with the Irish National Ballet for many years alongside a varied freelance performance career.
She settled in London in 2008 and met Frances while performing in the same opera production Turandot at the Royal Opera House.
Amy has never had the perfect ‘ballet body’ and has suffered with many injures throughout her career. A severe haemorrhage in her foot in 2016 led to further problems with the meniscus in her knee and a very long rehabilitation. This time was extremely difficult emotionally and physically, however her friendship with Frances and the knowledge, wisdom and hands-on therapy Amy was gifted through her healing hands and generous heart changed her life.
Amy truly hopes that the principles and lifestyle of Bodylistics and a connection with Frances’ warm soul will also help change many others’ lives for the better.
